Today was the Spring Election in Wisconsin. I always make an effort to vote in every election possible, and this one was no exception.
Some of my candidates won, some of them lost. But regardless of the outcomes, I'm proud to be able to take part in this ritual of our democracy.
Unfortunately, so many others in our country face hardships when it comes to exercising their right to vote. We must work to correct that problem, recognizing the blatant attempts to block voters as well as the more subtle moves that may ostensibly be reasonable in some people's minds, but which nevertheless cause detrimental harm to suffrage rights for millions of Americans.
